The morning after your wedding, you want to see it all again. The reactions, the laughter, your friends on the dance floor and those little moments you barely had time to take in. You want to send something to your family, share a favourite moment and keep enjoying everything that just happened.
Your finished photographs and wedding film take time. Wedding content creation fills that immediate space, giving you a collection of moments to watch and share while the excitement is still fresh.
At Santorini.video, we approach content creation with the experience of a wedding filmmaking team. We combine iPhone footage, professional camera footage and drone views, with a focus on vertical videos, real interactions and quick delivery.
What Is Wedding Content Creation?
Wedding content creation captures your celebration through short clips and edited videos that are easy to watch on your phone and share. It often includes candid moments, glimpses behind the scenes, guest reactions and reels created around a particular part of the day.
For us, it has a strong documentary spirit. A content creator needs to keep observing: who is laughing, who has become emotional, what is happening beside the main event and which small interaction might otherwise go unnoticed.
That might be your friends during preparations, a relative watching your vows or the two of you talking between portraits. These moments can become some of the most personal memories in your gallery.
Why Does a Wedding Film Take Longer?
A finished wedding film involves much more than putting the best clips together. Professional footage needs to be transferred, backed up, reviewed and selected. The edit then brings together the story, music, recorded voices, sound design and colour.
High resolution camera footage can also require substantial storage and processing. However, file size is only part of the work. Choosing how a speech connects with an image, where to leave a pause and how the film moves between different parts of the day takes careful attention.
Content has a different scope. A short reel might focus on one interaction, one atmosphere or one playful idea. Selected phone clips can be enjoyed individually without becoming part of a longer narrative. That makes a faster delivery possible while still requiring proper selection and editing.
Quick delivery still involves work. After the celebration, we review, trim, organise and upload your footage, then prepare your edited videos. The aim is to give you something enjoyable to open, with the strongest moments already selected.

What You Receive from Santorini.video
Our delivery starts with an online gallery of your phone footage. We organise the clips into folders covering parts of the day, such as preparations, ceremony and details, so you can easily find what you want to watch.
Although couples often call these their “raw clips,” we prepare them before delivery. We trim them to the successful moments, removing unsuccessful sections so you do not have to search through everything yourself.
- Within 24–48 hours: your organised gallery of selected and trimmed phone clips, followed by your first finished reel.
- Within 72 hours: the remaining reels included in your chosen package.
- Professional camera edits: delivered within the same 24–48 and 72 hour schedule, according to the agreed deliverables.
Professional camera source files are not included in the gallery because of their size. Instead, this footage is delivered through finished edits, including a vertical highlight and the reels specified in your package.

The Moments You Might Otherwise Miss
You cannot watch every guest during your ceremony or be part of every conversation at your reception. Content gives us room to pay attention to those smaller stories.
Our couples particularly enjoy seeing their relatives’ expressions: how they watched, reacted and shared in the celebration. The quiet exchanges between the couple also matter, especially when they happen between the more directed parts of the photo and video session.
When useful, we can add a microphone to capture a spoken moment. We coordinate this with the main videographer so the audio arrangements work together.
A wedding film can also include these documentary moments. Content gives them additional space, both as individual clips and as short edits that you can enjoy straight away.
You Do Not Have to Post Any of It
The word “content” can make this service sound as though it is only for people who regularly use Instagram or TikTok. Your gallery can be just as valuable as a personal collection, shared privately with family and friends.
Some people love browsing lots of little clips. Others prefer watching a finished reel or highlight that brings the day together. Having both gives your loved ones different ways to enjoy the memories, including those who could not attend.
Do We Have to Film Trends?
No. You can book content creation entirely focused on candid coverage, without trends, transitions or additional staged scenes.
Before the wedding, we discuss your preferences. If you enjoy funny ideas, particular references or a planned transition, we can make room for them. Our preference is to devote most of the time to the wedding itself, with a few agreed creative ideas where they fit comfortably.
A short video can have its own little concept without asking you to spend the day performing for the camera. The balance should reflect how you want to experience your wedding.
How Our Role Changes When You Have a Videographer
When There Is a Main Videographer
We place greater emphasis on candid coverage: guests, reactions, conversations and the moments around the main filming. We still create carefully composed, beautiful footage, while coordinating with the person responsible for your wedding film.
When you book both services with our team, a videographer and a separate content creator attend. Their main responsibilities are clear: the wedding film and the vertical content.
Because our content creator also works with a professional camera, they can occasionally capture additional footage for the main film when circumstances allow. If you would like them to stay with guests while you leave for portraits, we can discuss that division of coverage, too.
When Content Is Your Only Video Coverage
Our responsibility becomes broader. Alongside the candid moments, we need to capture the portraits, setting and visual sequences that will support a finished vertical highlight, perhaps a minute or two long, depending on the package.
We discuss your priorities before the wedding. Do you want your vows recorded in full? Is a complete ceremony important, or would you prefer more attention on guest reactions? These are different tasks, and we agree on what will be covered instead of assuming that every content booking includes everything.
Why We Include a Professional Camera and Drone
All our content packages include iPhone, professional camera and drone filming, with drone flights subject to suitable conditions and location permissions. This combination is part of our approach to content creation.
The phone lets us respond quickly to spontaneous interactions. The professional camera gives us more creative control over the image and material for polished vertical edits. Drone footage adds a wider view of the setting, whether that is the Santorini landscape or your wedding venue.
Where appropriate, we capture a moment on both phone and camera, using a combined setup or filming the versions in quick succession. This gives you accessible phone clips alongside professional footage used in your finished videos.
Why We Film Specifically for Vertical Video
A vertical frame needs its own composition. The placement of two people, the space around them and the background all work differently from a horizontal image.
Imagine a first look. A wide horizontal frame might hold both partners and their surroundings beautifully. Cropping it into a narrow vertical frame could lose one person or an important part of the reaction. A position chosen for vertical filming can keep the essential elements together from the start.
Horizontal footage can sometimes be adapted successfully, but that flexibility depends on how it was captured. Dedicated vertical filming lets us make those choices during the moment itself. Our content highlights are vertical because they are designed for viewing on a phone and sharing on social media.
Wedding Experience Matters as Much as the Equipment
A content creator joins an existing team. They need to understand the timeline, coordinate with the photographer and videographer, and agree before taking the couple away for an additional scene.
We have seen preparations run late because other professionals had to wait for content filming to finish. We have also seen someone step into the main video angle during an entrance or the couple’s walk back down the aisle. These moments cannot simply be repeated, and an obstruction in moving footage can be difficult to remove.
Experience helps a content creator anticipate where to stand, when to move and when to leave space. A team that already understands each other can make those decisions with less interruption to your day.
Should Content Creation Replace Your Wedding Videographer?
If your budget allows for both, we recommend having both. You receive quick, personal moments to enjoy immediately, alongside a wedding film created for repeated viewing over the years.
If you must choose, our recommendation is to prioritise professional wedding videography, even with shorter coverage. Our minimum three hour wedding video package can be a practical starting point, with the schedule built around the moments that matter most to you. Depending on your timeline, that could include the ceremony and part of the celebration afterwards, while leaving out preparations.
Content creators can make beautiful short films, particularly when professional cameras are part of their work. The important question is what your booking actually preserves: the format, complete events, recorded voices, duration and finished edits. A vertical highlight and a full ceremony recording serve different purposes.
A Package Built Around What You Want to Remember
We offer flexible combinations of content creation, videography and photography when booked together. Planning the services as one team helps us distribute responsibilities and shape the coverage around your priorities and budget.
For us, the strongest reason to book content creation is the chance to see more of your wedding while it still feels wonderfully close. Your relatives’ reactions, the laughter between portraits and the moments you missed are ready to enjoy within days.
