Nearly Ten Years, One Unforgettable Celebration
Anastasia and Robert celebrated their wedding at El Viento Santorini on June 15, 2024. Their story began online in November 2014, followed by a first meeting for a walk with her dog. Nearly a decade later, and a week after officially marrying, they gathered with family and friends in Greece for a celebration that moved from a personal ceremony to dinner, fireworks and dancing late into the night.
A Ceremony with a View and a Sense of Humour
The ceremony at El Viento combined the openness of the Santorini landscape with the warmth of a gathering among people who knew the couple well. Anastasia’s mother accompanied her entrance, while stories about the couple brought laughter into the occasion. The celebrant moved between Russian and German, giving the ceremony a character shaped by its people as much as its setting.
Before the ceremony continued, guests were invited to take a photograph and then put their phones away. It was a thoughtful way to make room for everyone to be present. For a destination wedding, where loved ones have travelled to share the occasion, those uninterrupted moments together become an especially meaningful part of the experience.
Robert’s personal promise returned to one simple thought: “Ich werde immer neben dir sein” — “I will always be by your side.” That brief line brings their own voice into the story, alongside the humour and familiarity of a relationship built over many years.
From the Ceremony to an Evening at El Viento
Holding the ceremony and reception at the same venue gave the celebration a natural continuity. After the ceremony came cocktails and photographs with loved ones, followed by time for the couple’s portraits. Guests could settle into the occasion while the day moved towards the evening reception.
Planned by Wedding Planner Greece, the wedding brought together flowers by Maria’s Flowers, candles by Idea Candles and furniture from El Viento. Dinner by Petranart Santorini formed part of an elegant reception, with lighting and DJ services by Santorini Events taking the celebration into the night.
Fireworks added a dramatic moment above the venue, changing the atmosphere once again. From the spoken ceremony to dinner and the energy of the party, Anastasia and Robert’s wedding offered several distinct moods within one location. That progression gives an El Viento wedding film a story that develops well beyond the ceremony.
El Viento Santorini Wedding Videography from Day to Night
Filming a wedding at El Viento means following both the people and the changing atmosphere around them. During the ceremony, attention rests on voices, expressions and the reactions of family and friends. At the reception, the tables, candlelight and conversations create a different pace, before music and movement bring new energy to the images.
Our approach to Santorini wedding videography connects these parts of the day into a coherent film. The ceremony establishes the personal story, while the reception shows how that commitment was celebrated. Fireworks and dancing give the evening its scale and excitement, with closer moments keeping the couple and their guests at the centre.
The People, the Place and the Party
As a Santorini wedding videographer, we look for what makes each celebration distinctive. For Anastasia and Robert, it was the combination of a multilingual ceremony, shared humour and an evening that continued at the same venue. Those details guide the rhythm of a cinematic wedding film, allowing quiet anticipation, laughter and celebration to each have their place.
A destination wedding in Greece brings people together for an experience that extends beyond the formal promises. Our aim is to preserve that wider feeling: the familiar voices, the guests enjoying dinner, the fireworks overhead and the momentum of the dance floor. At El Viento, all of these became part of Anastasia and Robert’s Santorini wedding story.
